First aid advices include those techniques and procedures that are acted upon at the time of emergency. Some of the people have breathing problems called Asthma. In the disease of asthma attack, the muscles of airways in the lungs go into the shudder and the inside layer of the lungs become enlarged. As a result, the airways of the linings become narrowed and breathing becomes very difficult. Asthma can attack on the people during the problems of allergy, cold, cigarette smoke, extreme exercise and extreme temperature. You should encourage these patients to breathe very slowly and deeply. A mild asthma attack should get eased within 3 or 4 minutes, but if it does not, then it may prove very harmful for the patient. These patients should use their inhalers after every 5 to 10 minutes.
Bleeding is also a serious problem for humans and can become the cause of infection or other problems. The bleeding from the minor cuts, scratches and grazes should be considered as a serious problem. If you are doing treatment of any patient, you should wash your hands with an antibiotic soap and properly dry them. Clean the cut under the running water. A nose bleeding can also prove very harmful for the patients. If the bleeding follows the head injury, the blood may appear watery and thin. At this time, the casualties should be properly treated to avoid loosing more and more blood.
If you have any patient in your home, having a fracture at any part of the body, you should do proper care and treatment of that person. You should support the injured person with your hands to stop his movement. If there is bleeding on any part, press a clean pad around the injured part to control the flow of blood. Then bandage all around the cuts or other injuries. You should avoid giving anything to eat and drink to the patients, when an operation is necessary.
Heart attacks and shocks are caused by the sudden blockage of blood to the heart. It is also a serious problem in humans. The major risk of the heart attack is that the heart stops beating. Therefore, if you have any patient of heart in your home, then you should make that patient as comfortable as possible. If the patient is fully conscious, you can give him or her 300mg aspirin tablets to chew it very slowly. You should check vital signs, pulse and breathing of the patient with the intervals of every 10 to 15 minutes, until the help arrives.
